HVAC isolation
Supply and return registers inside the work area get sealed, and the system is usually shut down for the duration. If the return is a panned joist bay or a wall cavity, which is common in older Lincoln homes, sealing the grille alone may not be enough and the contractor should say so.

That means air movers and commercial dehumidifiers running for several days, with readings logged. Scale changes the approach
